Keenan Allen, San Diego Chargers

Rookie of the Year, four words second-year player Keenan Allen can say to his doubters.  Keenan Allen has made himself known in just his first season as a professional.  Drafted out of North Carolina, Allen won Sporting News Rookie of the Year,  NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Pepsi NEXT NFL Rookie of the Year along with 4x Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week as well.  It wasn’t an easy season for Allen despite all of his accolades.  Allen was not receiving much playing time in training camp and in his first week of the season, he did not receive any playing time.  Slated as the number four or five wide receivers, Allen knew if he had an opportunity he would need to make it count, he just needed one.  After fellow teammates Danario Alexander and Malcolm Floyd suffered season-ending injuries, Keenan Allen received an opportunity to show off his talents.  In just his third career NFL game, Allen recorded his first 100-yard receiving game of his career.  This was just the start of Allen’s career.  Now entering his second season with high expectations, Allen is looking to have a repeat of his success.
