Boston: Hubspot Inbound 2017

Sick, wicked fun, awesome, amazing, what an experience, crazy. There really aren’t many words to describe the past week of my life. It started on Monday, October 28. Left around 8 am for Boston, MA. Hubspot hosts their annual keynote conference at the BCEC (Boston Convention and Events Center). This year my company is switching platforms and we’re going to start using Hubspot for our inbound leads, sales and marketing tactics. Every year they host this conference and year over year it gets bigger and bigger. It started out with several hundred people back when they first launched in 2006. This year it reached over 21,000 people from over 120 countries! So clearly these guys are doing something right!

Hubspot

The conference itself was amazing. With speakers consisting of Michelle Obama (yes the former first lady Michelle Obama), Mario Batali, John Cena, Andy Cohen, Adam Grant, Piera Gelardi, Brene Brown, Bozoma Saint John, Billie Jean King, Jeff Rosenblum, Britt Marling, Issa Rae, Ed Catmul and many others. I mean that list right there, you’ve got to be kidding me. Some of the biggest names in the marketing industry, plus!, some of the biggest names in their own respective industries; I mean this was an unbelievable event. I’m truly grateful to my company, Coolfront Technologies, for the opportunity to go and learn. The breakout sessions that they had were very informative and chock full of information that I’ve taken back and am hoping to implement in our own marketing campaigns. So all of the learning, the networking, the food, the experience, the speakers, literally everything, an unreal experience and there really aren’t many more words that I can try to explain. The only thing that comes to mind is, holy shit, that was amazing, I hope I get to do something like that again and I can’t wait!IMG_2137

Fenway

So since we were in Boston and I’ve never been to Fenway park, I was hoping that the Sox (Red Sox), would be playing at home and we could catch a game one night. Luckily, my coworker Gerald and I were fortunate enough to get some seats that were absolutely fantastic. We walked around before the game, and truthfully, there is not a bad seat in the entire stadium. The history, the people, the aura, everything about Fenway is truly unbelievable. The sox lost to the Astros and that was even better since being a Yanks fan, it’s in my DNA to hope they lose.

Tesla

Yes, Tesla’s. How does this relate to Hubspot? It truly doesn’t matter how this relates. I love Tesla’s, absolutely love them. The look, the style, the stigma, the energy efficiency, everything about Tesla’s I love. Within 1 block of our hotel in Boston there was a Tesla store and you can imagine, I had to check it out. I was able to sit in a Tesla, see how it feels, and it feels better than I had ever imagined. I can’t wait to get my own. If Elon Musk some how gets ahold of this, I’d love a Tesla or even just a ride with you or even just a selfie with you!

Seriously, what a week

I was able to attend one of the best conferences in not only the country, but world. Over 120 countries were represented here, that’s a lot of different cultures! I was able to sit in the car that one day I can’t wait to own and can’t wait to sink my teeth in. I went to one of the most iconic stadiums in the entire country to catch a game. I even won $100 bucks gambling which I’ve never won. And yes, it was legal gambling. So all in all, this was one of the best weeks of my entire life and I’m not sure if it will ever be topped!
